Request is Enabling Automated Recurring Invoice Payments in Web3 with Superfluid

Beyond the speculative mania surrounding Web3 among those seeking to make a quick buck — there continue to exist many projects whose value will outlast bubbles and busts. This was true of the dot-com bubble, and remains true today. These projects are led by teams dedicated to building robust services and the infrastructure to power an increasingly digital, global, and internet-native economy. All of these projects need a suite of tools to run their business on Web3 rails, making use of the powerful new primitives that blockchain has enabled.

One of the major sources of friction for real commerce to take place on blockchain rails is that today’s traditional payment systems are cheaper, faster and better served than their crypto counterparts. Moreover, there is far more automation, error control, and other complimentary tools available.

Despite this fact, more projects, businesses, and DAOs are using blockchain rails to power their administrative and business processes (including payments) as time goes by. Users can easily send professional, secured, compliant invoices and receive payments in traditional currencies like USD and EUR — or digital currencies such as USDC, DAI and USDT among many others in the list.

Superfluid is an asset streaming protocol that has the power to describe cash flows and execute them automatically on-chain over time in a non-interactive way. Superfluid streams are programmable, composable and modular. The first cash flow types allow constant streams of value and one-to-many distributions. All streams are settled at the same time, based on block timestamps. No capital is locked up, and all inflows and outflows are netted in real time, drastically increasing capital efficiency.
